Army Cavalry Visor Caps w/Original Storage Box. Unissued
Army Cavalry Visor Caps w/Original Storage Box. These
superb, unused, private purchase, Cavalry visor caps,
complete with original storage box, were recently
obtained in Germany from the estate of the original
owner. The hats are stored in the original, EX++ storage
box. Oval box is constructed of black leatherette
with tan leather edge binding and carrying strap with
metal snap fastener and interior covered in gray artificial
silk with straps to secure both hats. Box shows only
minor wear with light crazing/scuffing to leatherette
on top of case. Inside the box is a page from the
"Samtag, 12. Februar 1944" edition of the
Rheinisch - Westfälische Zeitung.
A- Cavalry Officer's Visor Cap. Body of cap is constructed
of Feldgrau tricot wool with dark green felt cap band.
Cap features Cavalry yellow piping, aluminum Army
style eagle, hand embroidered aluminion bullion oak
leaf wreath w/metal cockade with red felt center,
aluminum bullion cap cords and pebbled aluminum side
buttons. Black Vulcan fiber visor showsminor surface
wear primarily to raised edge, but no cracks, crazing
or nicks. Interior features light green artificial
silk lining with no stains, rips or tears and is complete
with tan calfskin sweatband which shows no evidence
of wear. Celluloid sweat shield is perfect and is
marked "EREL, Berlin, Sonderklasse" within
diamond above "Privat" (indicates cap was
custom ordered) within rectangle, imprinted into celluloid.
The leather sweatband is marked "EREL" "Patent
Stirnschütz" (patented forehead protection)
empressed into the leather. Superb, quality, visor
cap with no moth damage or stains. Near MINT/MINT
B- Cavalry NCO/EM Visor Cap. Body of cap is constructed
of Feldgrau tricot wool with dark green felt cap band.
Cap features Cavalry yellow piping, frosted, aluminuum
Army style eagle, aluminum oak leaf wreath and cockade
with red felt center and black leather chin strap
and black side buttons. Black Vulcan fiber visor shows
no cracks, crazing or nicks. Chin strap shows minor
age residue, but no rips or tears. Interior features
golden yellow artificial silk lining showing no stains
rips or tears and is complete with unmarked, tan leather
calf skin sweatband which shows no evidence or wear.
Celluloid sweat shield is perfect and is marked with
an imprinted stylized eagle atop a black elongated
diamond inscribed "Erstklassig" the initials,"CW".
Sweatshield is complete with size tag markded, "58
1/2". Superb, quality, visor cap with no moth

NS-Reichskriegerbund (Kyfferhäuser) Visor Cap
w/RARE Edelweiss Emblem. Body of cap is constructed
of private purchase quality Navy blue wool with Navy
blue wool piping and black woven cap band with alternating
pattern of canted swastika and the shield of the Kyfferhäuser
Memorial. Cap body features a black/red/silver cockade
with a gilt stylized oak leaf wreath surrounding an
oval black enameled Veteran's Monument on a white
field above a black swastika inside a white circle
on red background on the cap band. Cap body grades
Near MINT with no wear and only minor moth tracking,
but not holes, and 100% of the gilting and enamel
remaining on the Kyffhäuserbund Monument shield.
Black Vulcan fiber visor edged in black leatherette,
black leather chin strap and black side button show
only minor age with no cracks, chips or damage. Attached
to the left side of the cap band is a RARE metal Edelweiss
emblem that NS-RKB members of the Hochland district
were authorized, as of 18 March 1936, to wear in lieu
of the left cap button. See pages 285-286 of Headgear
of Hitler's Germany, Vol. 2 by Jill Halcomb Smith
and Wilhelm P.B.R. Saris with Otto Spronk. Emblem
retains 100% of the factory finish on the silver metal
Edelweiss flower with no damage to the enamel on the
Kyffhäuserbund Monument shield attached to the
center of the flower. Interior features bright blue
artificial silk lining and tan calfskin sweatband
showing only faint evidence of wear/use, but no damage.
Center of lining is stamped in silver with the Kyffhäuserbund
Monument emblem beneath the inscription, "Deutscher
Reichskriegerbund" (Kyffhäuserbund) and
the sweatband is marked in pencil with the initials,
"T.N". Superb example with RARE Edelweiss
emblem. Near MINT, Unissued (25588) $675.

SS M-43 One-Piece Panzer Field Cap Insigne. As
stated on page 458 of Cloth Insignia of the SS by
LTC (Ret.) John R. Angolia, "Sometime in 1944
the last version of the M-1943 field cap insignia
was introduced.
These one-piece insignia were
made in a machine-woven style in assorted shades of
silver-grey or matte grey artificial sild or rayon.
These one-piece insignia were produced on a
black background for the black armored [panzer] forces
headgear". This unissued/un-cut, machine woven
insigne features an SS-style eagle and death's head
in flat silver-gray thread on black artificial silk
background measures 5.3cm X 4cm. Examples of this
pattern insignia are pictured on page 459 of the above
reference. RARE, unissued SS insigne obtained from
the estate of WWII, 28th Infantry Division veteran

Luftwaffe Winter Flight Helmet
M- LKp W 101 w/Earphones, Throat Microphones &
Goggles.This
superb winter flight helmet M-LKp 101, constructed
of dark brown goat's skin leather with white lamb's
wool lining, grades MINT/unissued with no wear to
leather or to lining. The earphone housings are covered
in dark brown dark brown leather with a molded notch
for retaining the flying goggles. Two leather straps
are provided for securing the helmet to the head,
and are attached left and right by single prong buckles.
An eyelet on top of the helmet and two hooks at the
sides of the face are used to attach the oxygen mask.
The Mi 4b throat microphones are located on two leather
straps which are attached at the rear of the helmet
along with the electrical cables with four-pole coupling.
Interior of helmet bears the fabric label, "Siemens
LKpW101" and is ink-stamped size "61".
The MINT/unissued flying goggles feature two-pies
lenses stitched to molded rubber eye pieces set into
light metal frames with five ventilation holes along
the upper and lower edges. The two lenses are joined
by a metal linking bar with a single adjustable screws.
Superb combination in unissued condition. MINT/Unissued

Flight Helmet Model K33

The Model K33 winter flight helmet was manufactured
without any radio gear and was designed to be used
by crews in training or by crew members who did not
need radio gear. Brown goat skin leather helmet with
white lambs wool lining shows virtually no wear
to leather or to lining. Two leather straps are provided
for securing the helmet to the head, and are attached
left and right by single prong buckles. Interior of
helmet bears the label, RB-Nr. 0/0915/5232
and is ink-stamped size 57. Beautiful
helmet in superb condition which was purchased in
Germany directly from the original owner. Exc++/Near
