Cased Army Officer Brocade Belt & Dress Aiguillette Belonging to Knight's Cross Recipient Rittmeister Han-Hermann Sachenbacher. This superb, Army Officer Brocade Belt and Dress aiguillette complete with original storage case was recently obtained in Germany from the estate of Knight's Cross recipient Rittmeister Han-Hermann Sachenbacher. Rittmeister Sachenbacher was awarded the Knight's Cross on 14 December 1941 while serving as Chef Radf.Schwadr. 219 (Commander Bicycle Troop 219) on the Russian front. Herr Sachenbacher was killed in action on 27 November 1943 in Russia while serving as a Major u. Kdr. Div. Füs.Btl. 219. Dress belt features bright aluminum bullion brocade facing with two bluish-dark green stripes sewn to Feldgrau doe skin backing. Belt is complete with, MINT Army pattern buckle with both bullion/green keepers. Brocade is perfect with one tiny moth nip to the Feldgrau backing on one keeper. Bright aluminum aiguillette is in Near MINT condition and complete with proper slide and cords. Metal ferrules show minor wear to the frosted finish on highlights of oak leaf motifs. Belt & aiguillette are complete with burgundy leatherette covered, cardboard storage case with interior in light green cardboard. Exterior lid shows minor surface wear and a few scuffs, but no rips or tears. Attached to the lid is a white cardboard tag applied by the Sachenbacher family and inscribed in black script, "Grosse silb. Fangschnur" (large silver aiguillette.
