Army Cavalry Officer Parade Dress Tunic (Waffenrock) w/Reiterabzeichen. This private purchase parade dress tunic, without tailor's label or owner's name, was recently purchased in Germany. Tunic is constructed of Feldgrau tricot/elastique wool with dark green collar, cuffs, and bright aluminum collar patches and bullion shoulder boards, without pips, for rank of Leutnant. Underside of right shoulder strap is complete with horn button to secure the dress aiguillette. Collar, cuffs, front panels, and rear scalloped flaps are piped in Cavalry golden yellow with golden yellow underlay on the collar and cuff patches. Tunic is complete with bright pebbled aluminum buttons and MINT officer quality embroidered aluminum bullion breast eagle, machine stitched to upper right chest. Interior of tunic is lined in Feldgrau artificial silk showing light age/wear, and is complete with adjuster belt with lifting to nickel-plated buckle. Tunic shows virtually no wear to wool, with a tiny moth track on the right upper reverse and lower left panel with three moth nips to the reverse underside of collar which are not visible unless the collar is lifted. Attached to lower left breast, by thread loops, is a MINT Reiterabzeichen (German Horseman's Badge) in bronze. The badge retains 100% of the factory finish to the mounted horseman within an oak leaf wreath and Roman "R" within raised circle at the base of the wreath. Reverse badge is complete with attaching pin and maker marked, "L. Chr. Lauer Nürnberg-Berlin Gesetzlich Geschützt".
