Silver plated hilt fittings show light surface wear to well detailed pommel, ferrule, and 2nd pattern Eickhorn crossguard with uncleaned darkening throughout. Medium orange solid celluloid grip shows very light wear with no chips or cracks. Polished blade grades EX++ showing minor runner marks with nearly 100% cross graining with no nicks to cutting edges and perfect needle point. Blade is complete with dark brown buffer pad. Dent free silver plated scabbard shows age toning/patina to obverse shell and edges with one flat head center reverse retaining screw. Original 42cm portepee in correct tie shows minor wear with one spot of fraying where cord has rubbed against crossguard.. Nice uncleaned Eickhorn example. Ex++ (25341) $775.
