Long Slotted Third Reich Municipal
Police Bayonet w/Double-Trademark. ACS Scales
and Alexander Coppel-ACS Scales-Solingen double-TM.
Nickel-plated Slotted hilt fittings show excellent
detail to the eagle head pommel and oak leaf embellished
crossguard with surface wear/age/patina to highlights
only. Spine is stmped "89" with reverse
crossguard stamped "S.Ar.IV.145." (Municipal
Police Property, Administrative District Arnsberg,
duty location IV., weapon number "145").
Nicely toned stag horn grip plates show slight surface
wear, but no cracks or chips and with Third Reich
Police grip emblem properly pinned to obverse plate.
Plated blade measuring 32.3cm in length is bright,
showing minor wear/runner marks and some loss of
plating where blade was shortened. Blade spine is
Waffenamt stamped and numbered "786".
Black leather scabbard shows surface wear/age with
no damage to reverse stitching. Nickel-plated scabbard
fittings show light surface wear/age/patina. Upper
fitting reverse is stamped "S.Ar.IV.145."
to matching bayonet with scabbard throat numbered
"786" matching the blade spine. Upper
fitting is retained with an obverse center mounted
flat head screw, and both retaining staples are
present. Nice Slotted example. Ex+ (25344) $1,450.
