Large SS Allach Colored Porcelain Fox Terrier. Examples of this pattern figure in standing and reclining positions, sculpted by Prof. Th. Karner, are shown in the 1938/39 Porzellan-Manufaktur Allach-München catalog as items Nr. 19 "Foxl, stehend" and Nr. 12 "Foxl, liegend". This figure, "Foxl Sitzend", measures approximately 210mm high x 150mm across the base from the tip of the tail to the front paws and features a Fox Terrier sitting on rear haunches, looking straight ahead, with wire-haired legs and muzzle, and light brown shading on the perked/raised button ears and upper head, black nose, mouth and life-like eyes, with brown collar and dark brown/black spot on the lower back at base or tail. Figure is marked on the bottom with intertwined, SS Runes above Allach, runic symbols which appear to be the monogram, "THK" (TH.Karner) and the number "105" impressed into the porcelain.
