Uncleaned Early SA Dagger w/Hanger. J.A. Henckels Zwillingswerk Solingen, twins within double oval TM. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show light surface wear/age patina with lower crossguard group marked "W" (Westfalen). Medium brown, fine-grained wooden grip is perfect showing virtually no wear with no cracks or chips and is complete with silver grip eagle and SA insert properly inset. Mirror polished blade grades EX+ showing light surface wear/runner marks and some minor gray shadowing, but no pitting or nicks to cutting edges. Deeply etched motto retains 100% of the light gray factory background frosting. Steel scabbard retains virtually 100% of the brown anodization as well as portions of the factory lacquer showing only minor surface wear with one faint depression on the upper reverse shell. Nickel-silver scabbard fittings show minor surface wear/age patina with portions of yellowed factory lacquer and undamaged scabbard screws. There is a faint depression to the reverse upper fitting, but no damage to the lower scabbard ball. The brown leather hanger with early nickel/silver buckle and early, unmarked clip grades EX+ showing light wear/age to leather and age patina to the fittings. Nice Henckels SA dagger grouping.
