TENO Officer Dagger w/Dress Hangers. Carl Eickhorn, etched squirrel holding sword TM. Silver plated hilt fittings show some light wear/age/patina. Pommel and ferrule show 100% plating . These is some minor lifting, bubbling of the plating on the crossguard, but the plating remains 95%. Eagle is a crisp strike and shows excellent detail throughout. Some factory darkening remains on the cogwheel pommel and TENO eagle crossguard. The dark yellow celluloid grip shows light surface wear with no cracks or ships. The polished blade grade Exc++/Near MINT with nearly 100% cross graining. Very light wear/runner marks. Edges show no nicks or bends, point is needle perfect. Blade is complete with black leather blade buffer pad with the reverse etched with the Eickhorn logo, TENO eagle and "Ges. Gesch". The serial number 2804 is etched on the blade obverse partially under the TENO eagle. The steel scabbard is dent free and has been refinished with factory darkening by Tom Wittmann. The scabbard throat is nicely stamped with the number 2804, matching the blade. The throat is retained by a single rear mounted flat head screw. The TENO fabric leader hangers are black with silver bullion stripes. The reverse is black velvet. The fittings to include the cogwheel buckles, slides and snaps show light surface wear/age /patina. A 23cm portepee is wrapped around the ferrule and completes this dagger. Beautiful example with fantastic blade! Exc++ (25112) $8,000.
