Early 1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger. SMF, Solingen, seated king TM. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show light surface wear/age patina to pommel, upper and lower ferrules and crossguard with minor loss of plating to background of the brass pommel and crossguard swastikas. Dark blue leather grip shows light surface wear/scuffs with a few nips, but no major rips or tears, and is complete with tight twisted, triple wire wrap. Plated blade grades EX+ showing light surface wear/runner marks and a small spot of gray speckling on the upper obverse/reverse, but no lifting, pitting or nicks to cutting edges. Reverse blade is Waffen Amt marked and is complete with blue leather blade buffer pad. Blue leather covered scabbard shows wear/age and surface scrapes with spots of missing leather. Nickel-silver, upper, center, and lower scabbard fittings show surface wear/age patina and a few surface "pings", and are complete with five, flush-mounted retaining screws present. Early nickel-silver chain hanger featuring 9 upper and 12 lower rings shows light age/wear and is complete with early unmarked, nickel-silver clip. EX/EX+ (25269) $1,495.
