Luftwaffe Non Take-Down Gravity Knife. SMF, seated king TM. Nickel-plated fittings, to include end cap and grip spine, show light surface wear with some minor "pecking" to obverse/reverse end caps, but no lifting, speckling or pitting to the plating. Blade spring mechanism is stamped "905" with the base of the spike Waffen Amt stamped. Light brown, fine-grained wooden grip plates show light surface wear/minor depressions to obverse/reverse, but no cracks or chips and are complete with eight retaining rivets. Polished blade grades Exc++ retaining much of the cross graining with minor surface wear/runner marks and light professional sharpening along the cutting edge, but no pitting or nicks. Reverse blade is marked, "Rostfrei" and knife is complete with undamaged nickel-plated lanyard ring. Nice SMF example recently obtained in Germany. The knife is stored in an original black leatherette, hinged case showing light surface wear/age, and with a post-war aluminum Luftwaffe eagle attached to the exterior lid. EX++ (25686) $975.
