Long Third Reich Municipal Police Bayonet w/Frog. Carl Eickhorn, squirrel above C.E. double-oval TM. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show excellent detail to the eagle head and oak leaf embellished crossguard with surface wear to highlighs. Reverse of crossguard is stamped "P.S. 266" (Police School Sensburg) as is the upper scabbard fitting. Blade spine is stamped 8. Dark brown stag grips show surface wear but no cracks or chips with third Reich Police emblem properly pinned to the flattened obverse plate. The extra holes at the lower grip have been properly period filled. Plated blade measuring 33cm in length grades EX- with runner/surface wear. Two minor dark oxidation/rust patches on blade spine and three on cutting edge. Black leather scabbard shows surface wear with no creases, rips or tears and no damage to the reverse stitching. Dent-free nickel plated scabbard fittings show light surface wear/age/patina, but no damage to the lower ball are complete with both retaining staples. Brown leather frog grades EX+.
