Ivory grip with a gold acorn attached to upper obverse shows minor surface wear and nice age toning with one to upper reverse. Black leather scabbard shows surface wear with no creases or damage to reverse stitching. Deluxe, gilded brass, scabbard fittings show light surface wear/age patina with a few tiny surface depressions to the reverse lower fitting. The upper and center fittings with suspension rings feature incised oak leaves with large hound’s head suspension lug on upper fitting which is formed to accept the skinning knife. The lower fitting features incised oak leaves and floral motif surrounding a hunting pouch, horn and crossed rifle and hunter’s spear. EX+ (24967)
