Description
Carl Eickhorn, Solingen in double oval with squirrel over C.E.TM. Gilted brass toned hilt fittings show light surface wear, with most of gilting remaining in the recesses of the lion head pommel. Obverse langet features a silver Army Eagle without question period applied to the langet. Reverse langet features blank panel. Black shark-skin grip shows light surface wear but no damage and is complete with tight, triple-twisted silver wire wrap. Etched blade grades EX++ showing light age/surface wear but, no pitting or nicks to cutting edge and is complete with leather buffer pad. Both obverse and reverse blade features generic floral design with the reverse featuring “spoils of war” in the center of the etch and blank panel. Scabbard with one brass suspension band retains 95% of the period enamel. EX++.
