Imperial Railway Degen. GARANTIRT C.E. SOLINGEN (Carl Eickhorn) stamped TM. Heavy brass hilt fittings show light wear to the pommel, spine, and ornate knuckle-bow. The crossguard features a down-turned langet featurung the symbol for the German Railroad; the winged, spoked wheel. Brass grip shows almost no wear and no cracks or chips. Plated blade grades EX++ with light surface runner marks on the obverse/reverse but, no lifting or nicks to cutting edges and is complete with original red blade buffer pad. Black leather scabbard shows surface wear and minor scuffs to leather, but no rips, tears, or damage to the reverse stitching. Dent-free, brass, upper and lower scabbard fittings show only minor wear. Upper scabbard fitting features winged, spoked wheel with stylized rail road tracks, this motif is also featured on the lower scabbard fitting. Middle scabbard fitting shows winged, spoked wheel and fixed scabbard ring. EX++ (27971) $995.
