Long Third Reich Municipal Police Bayonet w/Frog. Paul Weyersberg & Co. Solingen, three-line TM. Nickel-plated un-slotted hilt fittings show excellent detail to the eagle head pommel and oak leaf embellished crossguard with surface wear/age/patina to highlights only. Reverse crossguard is stamped “34”. Nicely toned stag horn grip plates show slight surface wear, but no cracks or chips with Third Reich Police grip emblem properly pinned to obverse plate. Plated blade measuring 33cm in length is bright, showing minor wear/runner marks and some loss of plating where blade was shortened, and is complete with brown leather buffer pad. Black leather scabbard shows surface wear/age with 1 inch loss of stitching on the upper reverse. Nickel-plated scabbard fittings show light surface wear/age/patina. Upper fitting is retained with an obverse center mounted flat head screw. Both fittings are complete with staples. Reverse upper fitting is stamped “34” matching the bayonet crossguard. Bayonet is complete with triple-stitched, four-rivet, pebbled-grain, brown leather, frog in EX+ condition. Ex+ (25342) $1,395.
