Stylized S, A, W and A along with STIRNDRUCKFREI printed to cloth fabric liner. The sweat shield is missing and shows minor traces where the shield was sewn to the inner liner. Inside of visor shows wear age, and sweat to fabric. Sweat band is heavily darkened from sweat and has a one inch section which is loose from the visor however, sweat band is undamaged. Exterior of hat grades EX++ with no damage or significant wear. Officer quality doeskin material shows almost no wear and no moth holes and only minor surface moth nips. Red piping is bright and correctly attached and joined. Eagle, wreath, and cockade are the early variety made of nickel silver showing beautiful patina and almost no wear.
