One of our German Solingen contacts acquired a small box of these Eickhorn factory letter openers decades ago directly from the Eickhorn company, and they have been stored in Solingen since the acquisition. Superb letter opener for Third Reich dagger collectors! The Eickhorn “squirrel looking over shoulder” is featured on both sides of the hilt. “Original Eickhorn Blanke Waffen” is etched on both sides of the blade. Some light filing is required along the entire letter opener’s edges to finish, as they were never completely finished by the Eickhorn firm. A small swastika and SS runes are featured on the crossguard. MINT and RARE. LAST one available. 8 1/4 inches in length.
