“High neck” Knight’s Helmet, (WKC) TM. As stated on page 53 and 55 of Collecting The Edged Weapons of Imperial Germany Volume I, “Sometime around 1914 the “Side- by-side” proof was done away with in favor of newly-styled WKC knight’s helmet. It was re-done using a slightly larger scale, and also incorporated a “high neck look.”. Gilded brass hilt fittings show light surface wear with virtually 100% of fire gilding remaining on in the recesses of the closed crown pommel and crossguard with raised fouled anchor on the quillon block and large capstan style quillons. Genuine ivory grip without wire wrap, shows light surface wear with age toning/striations, but no cracks, chips or damage.
