WLH. KOBER & Co. SUHL, Centaur within double-oval TM. A very popular early maker, that produced a quality dagger. Uncleaned, nickel silver fittings show light surface wear/age patina/residue with reverse lower crossguard group marked “Th” (Thuringen). Lower obverse crossguard hand engraved, “Zur Erinnerung an uns Freundschaft 25. 2. 35 Paul” . Dark brown, oak grained wooden grip shows light surface wear with silver eagle and SA insert neatly done. Bright blade grades VG+/EX showing light salt and pepper pitting throughout with deeply etched motto and makers mark. Steel scabbard retains near 100% of original brown anodization with 3 small depressions on the obverse and one on the reverse. . Nickel silver fittings show minor surface wear/patina, but no damage to the lower ball. Lower fitting has a tiny seam separation above the screw that is not detractive. Leather hanger is marked RZM 12/371/39 is supple and in EX condition. EX. CONSIGNMENT
