Description

Unmarked. A photograph of this pattern sword appears on page 128 of SWORDS OF GERMANY 1900/1945 by John R. Angolia as an Emil Voos pattern. Gilded brass hilt fittings show light wear to highlights of the mane on the well detailed lion head pommel with bright, red eyes, oak leaf embellished backstrap and knuckle-bow with open wing eagle on obverse langet. The black celluloid grip shows only minor surface wear with no cracks or chips and is complete with tight twisted brass triple wire wrap. Curved, plated, balde grades EX+/EX++ showing only minor surface wear and one -two very minor nicks to the cutting edge and is complete with leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free, steel, black scabbard shows surface wear but, no dents or damage. EX+/EX++
