No maker. An example of this rare dagger appears on pages 36-38 of World of Dress Daggers 1900-1945 by Robert J. Berger. Silver-plated hilt fittings show light surface wear/age patina to the undamaged open Simon’s crown pommel which is complete with its delicate cross in perfect condition. Crossguard is in the form of two outward facing lion heads with raised Bulgarian crest on the obverse center. Reverse features a raised facsimile of the Bulgarian Military Order for Bravery. Medium orange celluloid grip shows light surface wear with no cracks or chips and with tight twisted silver wire wrap present. Plated, double-etched blade grades excellent+ with light surface wear/runner marks and a few faint nicks on cutting edge. Obverse blade features the Bulgarian Simon’s crown and Cyrillic “BN” (cipher of King Boris III-1918-1945), while the reverse features the Cyrillic inscription, “Za Nami Boga” (God is with us). Blade is complete with brown leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free, silver-plated German Army Officer pattern scabbard shows light surface wear with overall age patina and some minor gray speckling.
