Description
The round medal grades Near MINT showing minor age to the dark finish on obverse which features a closed-wing eagle atop a square swastika on a branch of leaves. The darkened reverse features the raised, 3-line inscription, “WINTERSCHLACHT / IM OSTEN / 1941/42” above a broad-bladed sword on a branch of leaves. At the top of the medal is suspension device comprised of a Stalhelm atop a stick grenade. The medal is attached to a MINT burgundy ribbon white/black/white center stripe w/o attaching pin.
