Description
Carl Eickhorn Solingen, serrated tail squirrel within small double-oval TM. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show light surface wear/yellow age patina with reverse lower crossguard group marked, “Ns” (Niedersachsen). Reddish brown, fine grained wooden grip shows light surface wear with a small chip on the lower obverse and reverse adjacent to crossguard, but no hairline cracks or major depressions. Grip is complete with silver eagle and SA insert properly inset. Polished blade grades EX showing light surface wear/runner marks with minor gray shadowing/speckling and some surface grinding/scratches, but no pitting or nicks to cutting edges. NOTE: The upper right portion of the Eickhorn trademark shows minor grinding. Deeply etched motto retains 100% of the light gray background frosting. Steel scabbard retains virtually 100% of the brown anodization and portions of factory lacquer with minor speckling and one faint depression to upper shell. Dent-free, early nickel silver scabbard fittings with unturned screws show light surface wear/yellow age patina matching the hilt fittings with no damage to underside of lower ball. EX+.
