Description
Carl Eickhorn – Solingen encircling squirrel. The blade is 16” and is triple acid etched with detailed panels depicting hunting scenes. The blade has not been sharpened, there is some dark speckling near the tip on both sides of blade and the tip remains in a point. The dagger has its leather buffer pad. The black leather scabbard has a couple of dings but is in EXC++/Near MINT condition and it has two decorative lines running the length of the scabbard on both sides. All of the stitching remains intact. Both matching brass fittings have scalloped edges being secured with staples. The brass hilt retains the majority of the lacquer and the clamshell shows the details of a target and crossed rifles. The quillion ends are a hooves design. The decorative pommel ends at a ball that has the tang peened into it. The grip is stag and has three matching acorns. Brown leather frog has all of its stitching intact and is in EXC++ condition. The knot is green and gold and shows a great deal of wear/age to the strap.
