Description
H. HERDER – SOLINGEN in a circle around the spade trademark. The nickel hilt fittings show age/wear with the reverse side of the lower crossguard being marked in what appears to be “Ha” for Hansa but it is not clear. The inside of the lower crossguard is marked with “P” and “A”. The brown wooden grip fits snugly to the crossguards and has no cracks or chips. The nickel-silver eagle and SA roundel are properly inset in the grip. The blade has light runner marks, appears to be sharpened, no chips to the cutting edge and the tip of the blade remains intact. The “Ulles fur Deutschland” motto is present. The dent free scabbard retains 75-80% of its brown paint. The scabbard fittings show wear with minor scratches and one tiny dent on the side of the ball. The brown leather hanger shows minor wear with the clip spring working properly and the belt loops are also attached and show wear/age but the snap on the loop works well.
