On Wednesday, September 15, 2021, our caravan consisting of a U-haul, a Subaru, and a Camry, left Fredericksburg, Virginia bound for York, Pennsylvania – the new home of the Max Show. This was a bittersweet trip for us, as it was the first Max Show without our much-loved LTC (Ret) Thomas Johnson. We also missed Ron and Margaret Weinand, but we hope to have them with us next time. Led by our new president, Tom’s nephew, John Davis, we arrived at the York Expo Center and got to work. Thank goodness for Dennis and Terry Majerski! These men not only made sure our tables were well-stocked and organized, they also provided much appreciated comic relief. Once we completed our set up, including the trademark Lutze collection and Solingen sign, it was time to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones. Bonnie and Marian enjoyed putting names with faces of our customers and fellow dealers. Tom Wittman organized a beautiful memorial table for Tom Johnson. Thanks to everyone who took time to write a memory of Tom. We hope to see you next time in York! Stay sharp
