No maker, which is correct for a ‘36 chained SS dagger. This is the SS dagger the vast majority of Third Reich dagger enthusiasts would like to have in their collection, but very few do due to the difficulty in locating. Nice black ebony grip with perfect fittings, insets, and no chips. Internal crossguards are deeply stamped “P” and “A” (Piel and Adey casters in Solingen). The beautiful blade will grade EX++ with noticeable runner marks attributed to the tight fit into the scabbard, and minor speckling to obverse and reverse sides. Original black lacquered scabbard showing two minor indentations on obverse and retaining 65% of original paint. Slight dent in the center of the reverse side of the lower scabbard fitting, however the ball remains intact with no damage, and all five screws are in place. Chain links show the very desirable dark burnishing on all the links and bears the SS runes stamping. EX++
