2nd Model Navy Dagger w/Genuine Damascus Blade. No Maker. Gilded brass hilt fittings show only faint surface wear to highlights with virtually 100% of the honey gold factory fire gilding and lacquer remaining in the recesses of the WKC pattern eagle/swastika pommel and fouled anchor crossguard as pictured on pages 269 and 270 of Exploring the Dress Daggers of the German Navy by Thomas T. Wittmann. The off-white celluloid-over-wood grip is perfect with no cracks or chips and is complete with twisted brass wire. The genuine Damascus blade grades MINT showing virtually no surface wear, with no graying, speckling, pitting or nicks to cutting edges, and is complete with dark blue felt blade buffer pad. The blade features a double-fuller design with a combination peacock pattern transitioning to maiden hair design on the lower blade/tip. Dent-free, gilded brass, lighting bolt Eickhorn scabbard retains 100% of the factory lacquer and gilding to the shell and oak leaf suspension bands. Scabbard throat is complete with two dome-head retaining screws as pictured on page 266 of the above reference. EX++/Near MINT
