Description
The bayonet slot on dress bayonets was normally fitted with a colored felt plug. The color of the felt plug was associated with specific type units in the German military and para-military organizations. The following original felt bayonet plugs are in MINT condition.
- Red (Wehrmacht (Armed Forces), FLAK, Police units)
- Green (Jager Formation, Police units)
- Golden Yellow (Aviation formations)
- Light Green (Aviation Supervisory troops)
- Brown (Aviation Communications troops)
