Description
Six (6) original Imperial Carl Eickhorn factory printing clichés of portepees. Three are wood and three are copper on wood. Number 71 is depicted as a silver infantry and calvary officer’s portepee; number 194 is listed as a firefighter tassel for officers; and number 203 is listed as a silver portepee for warriors’ and marksmen’s clubs all in the 1908 “Mother’s Book of the Weapons Factory”. Number 145 is listed as a silver portepee in various catalogs. Number 70 is a wooden cliché and includes the box in which it was stored complete with the No 070 stamp still intact, although the stamps is marked out in red and the number 485 written on top. Lastly number 1495 is a copper printing cliché. Most are approximately 5″ long except number 145 being only about 4″ long. All an average of 1/2″ wide and approximately 7/8″ thick. Most hand written number stamps are still on the ends with some more legible than others. These clichés were used and contain residual ink.
