Early Luftwaffe Officer’s Sword by SMF with Hanger (32807)

Description

SMF Solingen seated king TM. The sword has early nickel silver fittings that remain untouched and uncleaned. The blade is approximately 28 1/4 inches long, with the sword having an overall length of 35 inches. The blade has some normal runner marks, but it is still mirror bright. The blue leather on the grip and the scabbard show the typical minor scuffs and indentations, but there are no breaks or cuts. The swastikas on each side of the pommel appear to retain their gilt finish beneath the tarnish. The grip is double wrapped with wire. The sword is EXC++ condition with a wonderful dark, uncleaned patina on all of the nickel silver fittings. The correct blue buffer pad is intact and complete. The scabbard has the original blue Moroccan style pebbled leather which has a few pressure marks as you would expect but no dents. Complete with the four headless scabbard screws. The nickel silver scabbard fittings also remain untouched and uncleaned. The attached blue leather hanger has some scuff marks but overall is in Exc++ condition.
