Aug. Merten Ww. Solingen-G.R., “M” over oak leaf sprig TM. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show light surface wear with minor age patina with reverse lower crossguard group marked, “Wm” (Westmark). Medium reddish brown fine-grained wooden grip has hairline crack on lower edge adjacent to crossguard, light surface wear and looks like initials “F. B” carved into reverse upper. Silver grip eagle and SA insert are properly inset. Polished blade grades EX/EX+ showing light surface wear/runner marks and gray speckling to both sides, but no nicks to cutting edges and tip of blade remains intact. Deeply etched motto retains 75-80% of the medium gray background frosting. Dent-free steel anodized scabbard shows light surface wear. Nickel-silver scabbard fittings show light age patina with no damage to lower ball.
