Description
The blade is maker marked by Gebr. Becker, Solingen. The blade has speckling throughout, very little runner marks, and greying and spotting are visible on the surface of this blade. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and Gebr. Becker maker marks are both nice and crisp, with a light gray contrasting tone. The tip of the blade is intact. The dagger fits nicely in and out of the scabbard. The nickeled crossguards and pommel nut have a nice mellowing patina color. The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped with a “No”. The wood grip has a hairline crack on the reverse side and normal dings from age and wear. Early grip eagle and SA roundel fit perfectly on the grip. The brown scabbard is missing 100% of its paint. The nickel scabbard fittings are complete with the 4 period dome head screws, the lower scabbard fitting has a couple of minor scratches and a rip on both side where it appears the screws were extremely tightened, and the ball is smashed in.
