Description
Carl Eickhorn squirrel inside inscribed oval trademark. Blade is engraved “Meine Ehre heißt Treue”, has runner marks, minor speckling near riscasso, no nicks to cutting edge and tip remains intact. The nickel-plated fittings are in EXC++ condition with the reverse lower crossguard stamped with the district mark “II” in Roman numerals. Black wooden grip has a couple of hairline cracks on obverse side of both upper and lower part and one hairline crack on the upper section of the reverse but no chips. The nickel-silver eagle insignia and SS roundel are properly inset. The black painted enamel scabbard has minor scratches, retaining 95% of paint, but no dents. The scabbard upper and lower fittings show normal age/wear with one minor indentation on the lower obverse and the tip of the ball is smashed in. All 4 scabbard screws are intact. Complete with portepee.
