Gottlieb Hammesfahr, Solingen, Foche, Cross on pyramid beside three-line inscription above “NIROSTA” inside single horizontal oval TM. The Gottlieb Hammesfahr was one of the largest Solingen cutlery firms and specialized in drop forging. This item features a 1 ¾” wide, flat double-edged serving blade with rounded tip measuring 5 ½” in length. The blade is attached to a 5” long brown wooden grip complete with metal ferrule. Blade and grip show light wear with no nicks to blade nor cracks to grip. Unique item!
