The steel-based, nickel-silver plated hilt retains 95%+ of its plating. The black Bakelite checkered grip plates are in excellent condition with both rivets tightly securing them to the hilt. The small HJ diamond has some damage to its’ enamel and appears to possibly be glued in place. The steel-based, black enamel painted scabbard retains approximately 60-65% of its original coverage, is dent free and has scratches on both sides. The scabbard leather is worn due to age/usage, its rivets remain intact and the upper knife strap snap works.
