WK&C, side-by-side king’s head & knight’s helmet stamped TM. An illustration of this dagger appears in the circa 1905 WK&C Sales catalog as pattern No. 110 Feuerwehr-Dolch. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show light age patina to flaming ball pommel and WK&C style spearhead crossguard quillons with floral leaf quillon block. Black bakelite/horn grip shows light surface wear to color, but no cracks or chips and is complete with twisted silver wire wrap. Plain polished blade measuring 16 5/8” in length grades VG+/EX showing uniform surface wear with sharpening to the lower 6” of the blade, but no pitting or nicks to cutting edges, and is complete with red felt blade buffer pad. Black leather scabbard grades EX+ with one crease, surface scuffs and nicks to leather, but no creases, rips, tears or damage to reverse stitching. Nickel-silver scabbard fittings show overall yellow age patina with a depression to the reverse upper fitting, but with both reverse staples present. Upper scabbard fitting is complete with two suspension rings. Smooth, double-stitched black leather hangers grade Exc+/Exc++ showing minor surface wear/age, but no rips or tears to leather or damage to stitching or to fitting.
