Gilded brass, heavily chiseled hilt fittings show almost no wear to highlights of pommel and backstrap with virtually 100% of the fire gilding remaining in the recesses of the lion head pommel with green and red glass eyes, simulated lion’s mane backstrap and raised floral motif on the knuckle-bow and basket hilt with crown over fouled anchor device inside a filigree rope motif oval border. White celluloid grip has one chip on upper obverse side and is complete with tight twisted triple wire wrap. Plated blade grades MINT showing almost no wear/age and no graying or nicks to cutting edge. Both obverse and reverse blade feature frosted panels with floral motif as well as war ships with funnels and ensigns flying from the mast. Obverse blade features a center etched panel of a fouled anchor beneath the Imperial Crown while the reverse features a wreath with trident and naval equipment. Black leather scabbard shows almost no wear and no creasing to leather and is complete with gilded brass fittings in perfect condition. A one-of-a-kind unbelievable conditioned sword! MINT.
