Description
This bayonet is a standard issued edged weapon. The blue steel blade shows two sets of serial numbers; the obverse side of blade has the numbers “9527” over the inspector marking of “4” and the reverse side of blade has 44asw”. The scabbard has the same matching numbers as the blade. The blade has been sharpened but has no nicks or chips to the cutting edge and the very tip of the blade is flat. It features bakelite grip plates secured with two rivet/screws. The anodized scabbard is dent free including the ball. The black frog is stamped on the reverse side with “Kurtseidel-Berlin W35 1937”, and is in EXC++/Near MINT condition.
