No maker. Aluminum hilt fittings show no wear/age with excellent detail to the pommel with Customs pattern oak leaves and crossguard with up-turned wing tips on Customs style langet eagle. The leather grip shows only light surface wear with no rips, tears or loss of color, and is complete with tight spongy aluminum wire wrap. Plated blade grades EX+ with surface crazing throughout but no nicks to cutting edges, and is complete with an original leather buffer pad. Leather-covered scabbard shows overall light surface wear with a small patch of leather missing along one edge, but no other rips or damage. The nickel-plated fittings show some surface wear and age, with several indentations to the lower scabbard fitting, and are complete with undamaged headless retaining screws. As is correct for period produced Land Customs daggers, the incised, decorative lines on the fittings appear only on the obverse surface. Accompanying knot is near MINT showing very minor fraying to slide and separation from stem, but otherwise perfect. A rare piece!
