Church w/two crosses above Solingen, (Carl Schmidt Sohn) stamped TM. This nice example complete with frog was obtained in Germany. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show only faint age/wear to the pommel and recurved crossguard with no speckling or lifting. Black bakelite grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips. Plated 24.8 cm blade grades EX+/EX++ showing minor runner marks with a few specks of lifting to lower obverse/reverse cutting edge near tip and is complete with black leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains approximately 99% of the original black enamel, with no crazing or chipping. Dark brown leather, double-stitched, single-rivet frog grades EX++/Near MINT with virtually no wear/age.
