Description
A full size uncut WW2 German Luftwaffe sports vest eagle. Luftwaffe eagle embroidered in black on white cotton machine woven cloth. Dimensions 25cm x 12.5cm, soiled but in good condition. Luftwaffe sports vests were worn by troops serving in the German Luftwaffe during WW2 while participating in sporting activities. The vests were manufactured in cotton, with a large BEVO Luftwaffe Eagle badge worn on the front of the chest. BEVO refers to the “Bandfabrik Ewald Vorsteher” company, which manufactured the insignia. The term is often used to describe cloth insignia woven using a specific jacquard technique.
