Description
“SMF Solingen” maker mark, with a stamped proof mark just above it on the reverse side of blade. The blade has speckling throughout the blade with one minor nick to the cutting edge. The tip of the blade remains in a point. Has buffer pad. The two tone orange grip is lighter on the reverse side, is tightly wrapped with springy wire and has no cracks or chips. The crossguard and pommel show little wear with great detail to the eagle and oak leaves. The reverse side of the crossguard and the top side of the scabbard above the 0-rings are both personalized with the owner name “Schiller”. Also there is an “S” on the underside of the crossguard. The pebbled scabbard remains straight, with normal age/wear. Both scabbard bands are securely connected to the scabbard and have both hanger rings in place. The two throat scabbard screws are present. Silver portepee is correctly tied to the hilt. EXC++
