Description
WKC & Co special order TM on a personalized damascus blade. The blade has not been sharpened but has some minor oxidation on the obverse side and is personalized with the owners name “Schmidtsdorf”. It has its original red buffer pad in place. The celluloid grip has its original brass wire wrap, no cracks or chips, and appears loose to the touch. The brass hilt has the lion head with one green and one red eye. The obverse side of the guard has the imperial crown over the anchor with very beautifully detailed oak leaves surrounding the crown and anchor. The handle guard and the underside of the rear flap are also beautifully detailed with the oak leaves and acorns The reverse guard flap has the matching owners name “Schmidtsdorf” engraved on it and the flap locks correctly to the scabbard. The ferrule has the oak leaf motif. The black leather scabbard has some minor indentations on both sides but the reverse side is not missing any of the stitching. The brass scabbard fittings have some scratches/dings and minor oxidation due to age, the staples on the reverse side remain in place, and complete with the two large hanger rings on the upper and middle fitting. It has the Navy sword knot which has some wear to the strap. This is a beautiful sword to add to any collection.
