No maker mark. Plain, unadorned nickel-plated hilt fittings show normal surface wear/age with speckling to the backstrap and obverse ferrule and some lifting/peeling to the pommel and knuckle-bow. Black Bakelite grip is perfect with no cracks or chips. Plated double-etched blade measuring 33 1/4″ in length, grades EX++ showing light surface wear/runner marks, a few minor nicks to cutting edge, and is complete with original brown leather buffer pad. The obverse and reverse blade feature 16 1/2” long etched panels comprised of floral motifs on a light gray frosted background. The obverse center panel features the raised personalization in Gothic letters, “Feld -Art – Regt u. Krharnhorlt (1. Rannoo) No. 10” while the reverse panel features an etched motif of three horse heads on the lower panel and an etched intricate motif on the upper panel. The center etched panels have oak leaves surrounding the words “Peninsula” “Waterloo” and “Gohrde”. The laurel leaf motif on the blade spine retains 100% of the light gray frosting. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains approximately 85% of the original black enamel showing minor surface scratches to the obverse/reverse shell but, no major loss of factory finish. Complete with green sword knot.
