Description
Double maker marked blade with reverse stamped in two parallel lines E.F. HORSTER and SOLINGEN. Obverse stamped with stylized double H, S and sword. Silver hilt fittings show light surface wear to eagle head pommel and oak leaf embellished crossguard marked S.W.I. 768. Dark brown, shortened stag horn grip plates show virtually no surface wear and only faint age with no cracks or chips. Third Reich period police grip emblem with eagle surmounted by oak leaf wreath shows almost no wear. Plated blade grades EX++ showing minor surface wear/runner marks but, no lifting or graying to plating and one very minor nick to cutting edge. Blade is correctly marked on the spine with asterisk over the letter “K”. Black leather scabbard shows surface wear and 98% of the black leather and is marked with matching stamped letters/numbers S.W. I. 768. Black frog grades EX+ and is not marked. EX+/EX++
