ALCOSO, ACS scales above Solingen TM. Aluminum hilt fittings show light wear/age to the eagle head pommel oak leaf embellished crossguard. Plated blade shows light runner marks but no lifting or pitting and is complete with a brown leather buffer pad. Lightly, non-professionally, engraved on the obverse ricasso is “Juli, 1938, 1/SS” (July, 1938, 1st SS). Further research may be able to clarify the inscription. Dark brown stag grip plates with bronze Police eagle attached to obverse show light age but no cracks or chips. Short scabbard is dent free with some small areas of missing paint, but no dents or damage to lower ball. The light brown bayonet frog shows only light age with no damage to stitching and is complete with Police NEAR MINT police NCO portepee. Reverse frog is maker stamped “OTTO GRAF – 1939 – Leipzig N22”.
