Description
Robert Klaas, Solingen (kissing cranes) TM. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show surface wear and speckling and some lifting to the pommel, upper ferrule, and D-pattern knuckle-bow/crossguard. Black wooden grip shows light surface wear but no cracks or damage. Grip is complete with aluminum police pattern grip eagle. Blade grades EX++ with faint surface wear but no lifting or pitting and no damage to the blade tip. The blade is complete with the original leather buffer pad. Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 80% of the original black enamel showing some surface scratches/crazing to shell with loss of enamel to the scabbard ring and band. Nickel-plated upper scabbard fitting shows minor wear with both scabbard retaining screws present. There are no SS-markings on the sword hilt or scabbard throat indicating the original owner did not have membership in the SS. Complete with tied portepee in EXC++/Near MINT condition. Blade length is approximately 30 7/8″ tip to D guard. Scabbard length is approximately 32 1/4″ long including throat.
