Puma “Hausmüster” Factory Sample Sword Hilt

These sword hilts, recently obtained in Germany, were produced by the Puma-Werke, Lauterjung & Sohn Company, and are complete with puma head inside diamond TM, black celluloid grips with wire wrap, black buffer pads, and 5″ of the plated blade with rounded tip. Blades are engraved with the Puma sword pattern number. See pages 192-193 of Volume I of Collecting the Edged Weapons of the Third Reich for examples of factory sample sword hilts.
