Nickel-silver hilt fittings show light surface wear. Lovely deep brown stag horn grip plates show almost no wear. Polished blades grades EX with multiple tiny nicks to the cutting edge, which also looks to have been sharpened. Blade features a deeply-etched personalization: “Andenken an den Weltkrieg”, translated as “In Remembrance of The War”, referring to World War I. Scabbard has been repainted and shows wear revealing some of the original paint underneath, but no dents to the scabbard shell. Scabbard is lined with red felt. Stag grips on a German miniature dagger are extremely rare. Interesting miniature!
